    My purple and red fire fish hang out together in their hole not stop. The purple is very fat! Is it possible for a purple and red fire fish to mate? Sorry if this is a really dumb question.lol

    actually it is a good question, and I can not say for sure if they would. I think it is a good possibility, but I dont think these guys have history of reproducing in captivity! Would be cool if they did!

    Since they are separate species, it might be possible, but unlikely

    It is possible, however any offspring that did survive would most likely be sterile.
