    Asus makes some pretty good netbooks if no one has recommended it yet. I'm also looking into a new laptop but think I will hold off since its about $2500. I need the processing power and all the memory I need for graphic design and animation

    Mac (Apple) haters much?? You gotta admit, Macs are SEXY. The sexiness itself worth $500 for extra. Yeah, Im a show-off.

    There are
    27" iMac
    13" Macbook Pro
    Dell XPS
    Vaio netbook ($250 off eBay)
    in my household with three grownups. I like them all, but iMac is the most used computer. When the wife uses it to play WOW the hell out of it, it gets hot, but other than that, its AWESOME.

    Anyways, Seano, since they released the new Macbook Pro, try to find a decent one or two generation older Macbook Pro. You wont regret it.


    Oh by the way, people, its Mac, not MAC.

    Asus's products are decent, their customer/tech service SUCKS! I've ran Asus video cards for many years.

    Look at the Toshiba Qosmio series and tell me it's not the sexiest laptop out there.

    Then, realize just how much more machine it is compared to a Macbook Pro at the same price point.

    ...I didn't realise we would be having this much of a computing debate! haha.

    Nobody really said much about it....but I kind of like the HP Omni 100t - It is an AIO desktop. What are your thoughts?

    I was gonna go with 4GB RAM, Intel Pentium Duel Core processor, 750GB HDD. I just wish it had a better processor.

    I bought a 1000 dollar HP - lasted a year. I bought a 1200 dollar Dell and it crapped out after 3 months. And no, it was nothing *I* did. My HP needed a new hard drive, my Dell needed a new motherboard.

    Not to mention how Windows crashes all the time. Annoying!

    People have stuff against MACs. I think it's just to be against "fads." Well, I hate fads, let me tell you. I have no iphone, no ipod, etc. But I was sick of crap computers, so I went with a MAC. Best decision I've ever made.

    So.....LOL

    Also forgot to mention, before the hard drive bit the dust on my HP, the laptop would overheat, start smelling like fire and then turn off....after being on for 3 minutes. LOL

    My point coming across with the photoshop comment, was yeah you can get a computer in the 700 minus range... But they are all crap for what most people want them to preform at. Hence them crashing.
