    Moving the rock over should avoid a typical cycle. How bad was the hair algae? GHA is usually a nutrient issue, and unfortunately down sizing will not help this. For flow, the 750 GPH powerhead should be fine. I have two 450's in my 28 plus the returns, and it seems fine.

    The algae wasn't that bad, but it was there.. I believe with this setup and with the fact that it is more manageable for me I will be able to eliminate most of that problem. Also, I didn't have much of a CuC in my 55, only a few hermits and 2 emerald crabs. I'm going to get a nice little diversified clean up crew for this tank.
