I completed the my cycling process, and added a clownfish earlier today. The fish seems to have acclimated pretty well. I added a small amount of Omega One pellets and he immediately took up an interest with them.

    Here are a few questions:

    1) Should I now turn my protein skimmer on?
    2) How long shoud I wait before attempting to turn the lights on?
    3) How long should I wait before adding my second, (and final) fish?
    3) Should I wait a while to add a CUC?

FYI: the tank is a 10 gallon tank with 12 pounds of rock with a sand bottom of about 1 inch or so.

    Thanks for any advice!

For my next fish I was going to add a green chromis, unless there is a better suggestion based on the tank size and compatibility with the clownfish.

Honestly, in such a small set up, I wouldn't be adding anything else fish wise.

Chromis come in usually pretty small but do get to about 3"
    LiveAquaria recommends only 1 in 30 gallons:http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15 1634 115&pcatid=115

I don't know, I think you could add a smaller goby or fire fish.

I think a chromis swims way too much for that tank and may get testy with the clown.

Perhaps a smaller goby, but firefish are notorious for being afraid of their own shadow, and a Clownfish (damsel family) is going to get extremely territorial in 10g.

Do be aware OP that some of the smaller gobies are lower tropical temperature fish (catalina goby) and require a species only set up.

I believe it is a common clownfish (false).

    Here is the picture:

It would be cool to have a tank mate of some sort for this guy, but if it isn't in the cards, it isn't in the cards.

Another question I have is, the fish lives in an office, I'm concerned about feeding over the weekend. Should I invest in an automatic fish feeder for the weekends / vacations? I also would like to set the lights to go on and off on a timer. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

I'm going to see about also purchasing a CUC today.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
In a 10 gallon you could do another small clown, just do not over feed and keep up on your water changes. Try to get another smaller Ocellaris clown. If you are going to get another clown it would be a good idea to do so in the next week or two.

The clown will be fine over the weekend without feedings. Feed the fish a quality pellet or frozen during the week.

One clown in a 10 gallon with simple soft corals and common inverts will make a nice display, you really do not need any other fish.
