    You have 8 lamps over a 55? And how does it come out to 85 watts? What do you mean per lamp? I am assuming you have the 54 watters overdriven?
    If so that is ALOT of light!!! Are the corals doing well?

    If you have a voltmeter that will read down to milivolts all you need is the quantum sensor from Apogee. It's $140+ Shipping. They want 300 for a sensor/meter combo. You can pick up a decent meter at radioshack or other electronics store for around $50.

    I believe the guy that did my test got his Apogee with some upgrade, forgot what he said, for $240ish....
    Not terrible considering the costs of other stuff in this hobby!

    I know, they are starting to cloud the viewing pane!! Ever the new Natural Windex doesn't do it!
