It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can also ghost feed them.

Dry fish food and some flow will allow the beneficial bacteria to become established and increase population numbers.

So throw them in a bucket of salt water with a power head and a heater and let a shrimp sit in the bucket for 24 hours or so?

You can place them in any container that is safe and does not experience temp swings.

Add some flow, keep the SG within range, add a small pinch of dry fish food every other day for a couple weeks.

If adding the pot scrubbers in happening in the near future you will not have time to allow them to seed and grow a biological filter.

As an alternative you can looks into Dr.Tims products or Microbacter7.

Unfortunately cannot get Dr tims in Canada.. At least not to my knowledge.. We have bio spira or seachem stability. Would they not seed being put into an existing established tank that is fed large amounts daily?

Yes they would seed just fine.

If you are moving your rock work over the tank will cycle much more quickly.

Google the definition of soft cycle, when I set up a new tank using cured live rock I soft cycle.

Would the scrubbers work submerged? I know Idealy they should be in a wet dry but that unfortunately won't be possible in the current setup

Should be fine as long as you keep the parameters in line. Live rock becomes live fully submerged, so I can't think of a reason you wouldn't get live pot scrubbers in the same conditions. :) Good luck with the move!!!
