Someone local to me is selling a 150 gallon reef set up for $1000.00

150 Gallon Fish Aquarium, Stand and Components

I've contacted the seller, and he's not very well versed on his tank. The tank came from his office, and I think he just paid someone to set it up and maintain it.

I can't get out to see the tank until later this week. I'm wondering if any eagle eyed people on here can tell me what sort of equipment he has attached to his sump.

To me, it looks with he had a FOWLR set up, and his sump has bio-balls. Beyond that, I can tell that he has some sort of skimmer. There's a couple of things that I don't recognize. Is the black object a chiller? What's the tall white cylindrical object on the left? UV sterilizer?

I want to set up a second tank, and this seems like a good deal. I'd store it until I have the time and money to set up a second system. I'm just curious about the equipment he has though. I don't want to spend $1000, and then have to eventually spend more to replace equipment.

The white cylinder is an in-line filter. Something along the lines of this....
    Lifegard Aquatics Filter Modules

Can't see the black thing well enough to tell if it is a chiller.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I see a UV and a small skimmer, what the black box is I can not sure, maybe a control center?

Looks like a very nice tank. If you planning on corals you probably want more specifics on the lighting though.

For 1000.00 you may be able to do better, the price will probably come down on that set-up though unless the guy gets lucky.
