    Hi,

I bought a Potters Angel from my lfs two weeks ago. Currently in my quarantine tank.

Since it's been in the QT, it hasn't really settled - seems very jittery and hides behind a piece of rock pretty much all the time. I rarely see it swimming freely.

And it doesn't seem interested in eating. It's picked on flake about twice in total but ignore misys, krill, pellets - pretty much everything.

    Any ideas or tips?

    Thanks

some tricks you can try to get a reluctant feeder to eat

1- try a drop of Garlic extract on the food, it can stimulate appetite
2 - many dwarf angels are browsers, pecking and rasping at rocks, glass etc ( they are oportunistic feeders and will consume foods caught in open water) but as its new and I assume on its own in the QT it may not be certain what to eat ( other fish in a DT would show it the ropes) you could try smearing some of the frozen foods over a small piece of live rock as this might encourage it to browse eat the food from it

good luck and hope it resumes feeding soon for you

Potter's can be tough and don't come in to the hobby very well sometimes. I would like Steve said try some garlic added to the food and also try smearing some on rock. There is also a product called intice that will help get stubborn fish eating. If none of that works, I would be sure to have some live brine on hand to hold it over until you can get it on frozen.
