congrats on the going steady. I think the advantage in terms of waiting until they are a little older (actually 3 is about the best age) is that once it's done, it's done. You take them out and with one accident, no more. They just seem better at knowing their bodies at a little older age. I'm not saying not to potty train at a younger age, it's just going to take longer. Also, don't believe the "they'll let you know they're ready" unless they have an older sibling, then they usually potty train themselves (if they are the same gender) at a younger age because they want to be like their brother/sister and have seen it modeled by them over and over again :)

I agree with Chris, once they get older, you're going to miss these days (not the potty training per se) but just their innocence and sweetness at those ages :)

Funny I saw this post and have to say that my son (age 3) started his potty training today. So far he is doing good. 5 Pees only 3 in the potty and 1 Poop in the potty (thank God, I didn't want to clean that up).

Good luck and hope all is going well with everyone else.

    Potty Training Boys

We found that boys were much harder than girls to potty train. Not sure if its just a scenting thing, but our William just wouldn't use his potty. We found this website useful Free Potty Training In 3 Days Video Our two girls were no trouble. Alex.

Starting my 15 month old early. She already loves to sit on the potty. If we go anywhere, as soon as we pull into the driveway, she immediately says "Pee pee". Hasn't actually gone yet, but we will keep putting her on it when she asks.

Meanwhile, my 3 year old nephew still refuses to be potty trained...

Good luck Marshall! Sounds like she's letting you know to give it a whirl :).....Kids are so different but at some point, you gotta force the issue (referring to the nephew :))

Yup, believe me, if he was mine, he would already be out of diapers ;)
