I noticed my Powder Blue Tang pulling off my Elegances tenticles! He swims by and does a quick grab and tug.
Ever heard of this? I didn't know they were supposed to do stuff like that?
I feed 3 to 4x per day, and have plenty of live rock and alge for grazing. What gives?

I've heard that some tangs do pick at lps corals but I've never had it happen myself. If the tang continues that behavior, I would get rid of the fish.

eat pick what does it matter it is destroying it. I know it is fustrating. I watched a hippo destroy a zoanthid colony in a matter of min. sometime they just have a vengance for a coral.

I moved the Elegance to the opposite side of the tank. I posted more info in the Coral section.

Anythings possible. My hippo went at my torch once, but got stung in the process pretty good and never nipped anything again. But fish are individuals and behave accordingly ;) You can get non-reef safe fish that will be fine, and reef safe fish that will nip and destroy ;)
