Powder Blue Tang Disease

i would say stress caused this the tank is not nearly large enough for that fish i think in some cases qt tanks cause more harm than good, i dont know anyone who has a proper qt tank sized for large fish all your doing is adding stress into the fish's life and increasing the chance for opportunistic pathogens to take there affect

 

If you look at LA's behind the scenes photos you'll see they are keeping large angels and tangs in the same size tank.

 

Only stuff from LA was in there. 10 Peppermint Shrimp, 10 Green Chromis, 1 Powder Blue, 1 Yellow tang, and 12 Trochus snails.

 

From Live Aquaria's Diver's Den or from California? Only items in the Diver's Den are directly from LA, other items come from the same vendor that 80% of online retailers use (Pet Solutions, Petco, etc.). That's why I stress paying a little more for a fish that has been properly acclimated to aquarium life, eating and in guaranteed health.

 

I was thinking of the Diver's Den, LA's wholesaler has smaller holding tanks.

 

LA has some smaller treatment tanks as well. I was referring to quality of specimen, not whether or not they used small holding tanks. Items listed on Diver's Den are most often higher than the normal prices, but you're receiving items that have been through quarantine, treatment, guaranteed feeding and highest health possible. You will not find healthier specimens than Diver's Den online anywhere.
