I am pretty sure it isn't ich I have seen ich before. The powder blue is a new addition about a week and a half ago and it is in my 150 gal. It was fine til I noticed this weekend that it has two white blotches on it that are a little smaller than a pencil eraser. One is on its side and the other is on its face. They are not raised or anything either. The fish appears to be healthy and I looked him over very closely before I purchased him. It has been picking at the rocks constantly and will eat the pieces of the cubed mysis mix food I have been feeding, but has not touched the algae sheets I have tried to feed it is this weird? All my paramaters are good ph8.3(a little high just got rid of dinos) nitrate, nitrite, phos, ammonia all 0 calcium 420 and I can't identify these blotches. No i didn't quarantine and ill probably catch some grief, but I want to know what this is and whether I should be worried.

kMART sorry to hear you are having issues with your fish,
but to be Honest, it's the exception when someone posts something positive about a PBT.

They are magnificent fish, yes. But are ULTRA prone to ich. Seems you can give it to them by looking at them through the glass . . . they are that fragile.

If your fish is eating I would suggest upping the feeding schedule/variety. Give it vitamin soaked food to promote health. Check out Vitamin C dosing as well.

Also what other fish if any do you have in there and how old is the setup? Whats your filtration like? Flow?

The tank has been setup for about two years total, but was recently moved and I started all over with fish. It has been up for about 3 months now and is still slowly being stocked. My current fish list is a 6 line wrasse, PBT, bicolor dottyback, orange spotted goby. This tank has a ton of flow to modded maxi jet 1200s and a big return pump don't know how many gph per hour, but it creates the swirly tornadoes out of my spray bar at the top of the tank if the bar isnt deep enough lol. I really don't think it is ich though the spots are much larger than the salt sized spots that I have always seen.
