One of my favorite local LFS tells me that Powder Blues are VERY difficult to keep and get established.. and they wouldnt even sell me one they are so difficult.

I see many of them in people's tanks. I would LOVE to have one. Very beautiful fish. Just trying to research the truth on this before I decide hippo instead.

I currently have a 125g with a sailfin, yellow tang, and a foxface as my herbivores. The sailfin would be traded off when I get another large herbivore such as the powder blue. Just to help with bioload and competition for food. I love the sailfin but, it is eventually going to cause issues with my yellow once the yellow gets large. The sailfin is around 6 inches right now. Yelllow is only around 3.5"

a powder blue will be fine..in my 150 i have a yellow tang, desjardini sailfin, blue, powder blue, and another i forget which though,....i have since upgraded to a 215....but i had 2 ich outbreaks with the tang....never infected the others cause i keep my fish fat and healthy, but they were really small out breaks and after that (its been over a year) i havent had any problems....

i had a euroreef cs 8-3 rc.....in my 215....i wanna say i have 7 tangs??? maybe more i forget loL but for that i have a octopus extreme 250 with mesh modded, and i did 2 other modds, and it works better then some $2000 skimmers rated for that size tank...i was really pleased with it...and i have a healthy mixed reef and clams and stuff....so it appears to be working!!

Will have to check with another LFS to see if they can order me one in..

None around here carry them... And I would hate to order online with such a delicate fish.

I am going to be redoing my sump next month with a larger setup.. and may upgrade my skimmer then.

Probably out of my price range lol. My club gets good deals on vertex skimmers. They look pretty neat.

And I can only fit a 55g under my setup.. so.. would have to have a footprint that would fit..

    PM me the info though
