So you think that he'd be happy in a 90?

yes they are very active swimmers and need some good open space but they also like the hole shots and caves for sleeping. I think your 90 should be ok though.

+1, the 90 would be fine for the life of the tang.

I have both chromis and a powder brown in my 180. They are both pretty active. I believe the tang would be OK in a 90. Anyone that says this is not a colorful fish must be thinking of the wrong fish. Mine is awesome. Tangs do need to be fed well.

I currently have 10 chromis and love'em - school and bring lots of life to the tank. They can become a LITTLE aggressive when mating / laying eggs but nothing to worry about (I just posted the same sentence in another thread :p). I recommend getting 6 or more - my experience is they dont seem to do as well with less but others have had better luck as well.

I also used to have a pair of banngai cardinals. Really great fish but very slow moving and can get a little aggressive again when mating. Otherwise a decent fish and if you get a mated pair you can sell the fry back to the LFS!

I'm going to the LFS this weekend. What about the Powder Blue? Thats my favorite but I've heard they get a little bigger and may be a little tougher to keep. Would the Powder Blue need a bigger tank?

Okay, so, I know I've been really back and forth on this, but right now I am leaning towards Chromis for these 4 reasons. 1. 7 of them would cost about $50 less than one Powder Brown. 2. My tank is only borderline big enough. 3. They seem to be one of the hardest tangs to keep, and I only have a 6 month tank. 4. I have a Yellow Tang and Coral Beauty and I've hard that they may fight because they have the same food source. Again, not final, but my thoughts right now.
