There may be high aggression, but I think they'll pull through. However, is it 6 months until it's ready for tangs (cycled and on the mature side) or 6 months until it starts cycling. It will probably be almost a year before its ready for tangs from what it sounds like. IMO it wouldn't hurt to find the hippo and powder brown a nice happy home for the time being.

On another note, I have to respectfully disagree with you pharmerjohn. I can't stand the inch of fish/gallon rule. For example, my 1 inch Green Banded Goby has far less impact on my tank than 1/4 of my 4 inch yellow tang. I have 13 fish in my 90 gallon tank, but IMO I am not overstocked. I have perfect water quality, my algae problem is on the retreat, and there is no aggression. 6 of the fish are gobies who take up practically no bioload. My clownfish, royal gramma, and algae blenny also have very little biological impact. The 6 line, tang, and coral beauty are the only ones with significant biological impact. We could debate this all day. JMHO.

Yep. I would think you will need to find a home eventually, but I don't think theres an enormous rush.

I'd say just get 'em out before they kill each other. Try to go to an LFS this weekend and talk to them. If its going to be a year you may need to buy different fish. I'm not entirely sure if anyone will take them for that long unfortunately.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always told tangs need a lot of swimming room? Four of them in a 75gal I would imagine being a bit much, explaining why some are getting pissy.

Also, I was also told you should never get the same style at a later day, do to they will fight. For examples I have 2 reg clown fish, but is a get a different style clown there will be fighting, even to the death. Please correct me if I'm off on this..

You seem to be agreeing with my post and the posts of others. The reason a couple of these tangs need an interim home until ranger2806's new tank is up is because of exactly that.

You can also try the putting up a mirror by the side of the tank and hopefully the yellow tang will start to pay more attention to the mirror and hence let your new tang get established. I do this with all new comers,to my tank as my Kole tang has decided it is the boss and will harass the new comer if not distracted by the mirror.
