I really don't understand why you guys just don't feed them the OSI brand of pure green spurliuna flakes totally natural and health and is a all natural food for them and is ised to make the sheets that you call Nori.. Also sold in health food stores as alage pills for those who want to eat sweaweed and do not like the taste :) I keep 90% all tangs and have for more yrs then I care to remember. Tangs require better water parameters then most corals and very high Dissolved oxygen levels thats why I started to use oxygen reactors yrs ago myself. And run airstones in my sumps 27/7 alng with the reactore and ozone feed bubbles with in the skimmer . As for NO3 issues get a coil de-nitrater and be done with them also.. Then you can over feed the fish..

I put a few drops of garlic extract on the seaweed sheets before hanging it in the tank. It works wonders, not that these guys need enticing at this point. LOL8)

If all else fails, try feeding the fish some broccolli and/or romaine lettuce to stimulate its appetite.

Thank you everyone for you advise! I decided to kinda go with this one, since the Tang is already eating flake food well. I just hope the brand doesn't make a difference. I did buy some Spirulina Algae Flake Food, but the brand is "Nutrafin Max." Hopefully that's the same thing as the OSI?

So far so good with it, all the fish are eating it. So we'll see if he fattens up or not. I'm also feeding them a lot more. Most of the flakes get eaten but a couple here and there do get lost in the rock work. I'm hoping a small amount of overfeeding won't have a very adverse effect because I did just install a sump/fuge. I have 2 kinds of macroalgae in there now and the way I understand it is that the algae there soaks up things like Nitrates and Phosphates, right? And yes there is a 24w PC bulb over the fuge....

Yes I have found Spurliuna Flake to be the best source of nutrition. It is actually subscribed by natural homoeopaths for increasing the immune system for Cancer patients.

Also I have found the food grade Nori used for Sushi is baked. When compared to store bought algae like 2 little fishes it disintegrates in the water way to fast. I can't even use it because it floats around and dirties the water too much
