    At least 100 gallons
I hear they are also very difficult fish to keep

I dont know why people always refer to appropriate tank size in gallons because of so many custom tanks and dif companies there sizes change. 48 inches is minimum length for them to be happy, but even at full adult size 48 inches is too small. My tank is 48 inches long with two tangs and the purple and powder blue are now about 5-6 inches each. so keep that in mind about theyre full size.

A 4 foot long 75 gallon tank as a minimum. Leave swimming room above the rocks.

    interesting you said that 2in10.
I used to have my rock set up like that but then i did something different and made towers and bridges everywhere, and the tangs now prefer to swim in and around the bridges and towers i find they enjoy swimming around and through these objects rather than just doing laps like they used to.

Very cool, I was wondering about the suggestion to leave swimming room above since my tang seems to enjoy swimming in and around the rocks.

Each tang is different, Like all fish, some are more apt to be open water, where others in the rock work. And as well to each fish is their own.

48 inches is a bit small for two tangs. also it is still useful to state the gallons it holds. saying just a 72 inch tank you cant correctly answer if that tank can hold a tang because it may only be 60 or so gallons.
