I believe PC's are based on T5 technology which is why sometimes companies call something power compact T5.

The only thing I could come up with is that the lights were re-sized but still PCs. When googling, I did see a lumen output chart. Did not compare to like wattages of T5s though.

Nope. I would avoid it. When unsure, avoid. Lighting is sooooo important. There are so many fixtures out there and so few are worth anything. To start, bring up reefgeek.com and look at the ATI and TEK fixtures. ATI is higher quality, but the price is up there. TEK is a very good fixture. I have one of those. And am very, very happy with it.

To my knoweldge T5s are based on PC technology at least in aquaria... PCs are a T6 lamp that is folded onto itself, whereas the T5 is obviously a 5/8th diameter lamp that is linear...
PCs are a great lamp and put out good lumens and so one but they are ineffecient since there is no good reflector for them, much of the light-watts and your $$ are wasted lighting the other side of the lamp.

If the fixture is PC skip it, they will all be phased out soon enough, if it is T5 I would, like PJohn stated look into more reputable brands...
Even being in the middle East you should be able to access many of the brands us Ugly Americans can buy.....
Actually being closer to Europe you will most likely find Sfiligoi, ATI and Giesemann easier to find than say us... Unfortunately they are also some of the most $$ brands you can buy!!

If you go to sunlightsupply.com or aquactinics.com you can check there dealer located to see where you can buy/order one... Or ask someone there how to get ahold of one...

Good luck and happy desert reefing!

Doc frag is almost spot on, but the PC bulbs are 5/8 of an inch. So techinally theya re 5/8".Basically this company is trying to sell old tech PC's and trying to fool the buyer to think they have t5 lights, when they really have PC.
