I would be looking for all the plastic tubs and buckets you can find to put your critters and water in asap. you will need to replace or repair the tank later first try to avoid a bigger mess or a loss of you live stock. and by the way unplug every thing so you don't get shocked

I used a rubbermade tub to hold my rock and some water as well as a couple bag lined trash cans when my 55 leaked. Then looked on craigslist for a replacement tank. Get the water level down fast and the leak may stop or slow down alot.

I would get some 30 gallon trash cans or large rubbermaid containers and get everything into this asap to save your livestock. Why is it bowing? is the silicone just torn or missing? I would identify the issue and either try to fix it or get a new tank at that point. Repairs can usually be made. Never seen a tank bow like that so Idk

I had two 55 gallon tanks have problems. I will not ever have another glass aquarium. I realize they scratch easily, but once you have been in this situation, you really cant understand the hopelessness. We unloaded the tank into an enormous rubbermaid container, kept everything going, and found a great deal on craigslist. This is my advice and may you have our good fortune with finding a repacement.

are you saying that glass scratches easily? or did you mean you switched to acrylic even though they scratch easily?

OH sorry... no that was really vague, I mean acrylic tanks scratch more easily than glass. The two glass aquariums we had bowed, the seams leaked, and eventually we got a huge stress crack and had to reinforce the tank with wood boards and clamps just to keep it from crashing onto the floor. We now have a 125g acrylic and I rest a little easier knowing that there are no silicone seams that are about to rupture. Sorry about the confusion.
