Hello, at around 4am the power went out and it is now 10, it has droped from about 76.5 to 74...i wraped the tank with towels and put the house heat on high...how low can it go before it will be fatal...
    :(

From personal experience, I've had my old hex go into the 60's and things pulled through. I didn't have a lot of livestock though. I'd think you'd be fine for a day or so.

This always reminds me that I haven't ordered a battery operated air pump yet. :p

Hey Bruce! Hope you and yours are OK...I've been watching the news..... :-/

Can you heat water? (gas stove?) Maybe you could mildly heat a few pots...take some tank water out, and heat it slightly and slowly add back to tank?

If your house heat is up, it should not go much lower that the air temp. I would take off any tops if you have them, to help with aeration tho.

Sorry for your loss. That sucks.
Did you rent the generator or buy it?
