Also might mention I changed my 4 t5 bulbs 2 days ago and have ran 2 4 he light cycle as I have been doing for 3 to 4 weeks ( fighting hair algy) also 2 days ago I toped off my tank with dr stilled water because I was unable to make the 30 mike drive to my legs for tofu water... But I think it is the burn out that has everything looking very sad because the last 48 hrs everything had been looking fine until the pump burned out!!!

I'd do some water changes. I had one blow up and it killed the invertebrates in the tank. The fish survived, but I didn't have coral then. But water changes would be first and foremost. Also clean the skimmer cup often, I would run it it a little wet for awhile, there will be a black residue all over the place from the pump burning up. Good luck.

I wouldn't recommend using Prime in the main DT- it detoxifies ammonia, which could potentially spark a cycle. Activated carbon, however, is a great resource for removing impurities.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If your corals or other live stock look stressed you'll have to continue to do water changes as indicated and run quality carbon changing it out probably every other day for a couple days.

There is also the possibility that your live stock will look stressed for a few days secondary to possible electrical current.

I toped off my tank with dr stilled water because I was unable to make the 30 mike drive to my legs for tofu water...??? Not sure what this means. But distilled water is fine.

Agree with Mr.Bill do not use the prime, it's just a band aid.

Auto correct? Topped off with distilled water because I was unable to make the 30 mile drive to my LFS for RODI water...

LOL, ok because I was pretty sure I had not missed the latest trend of using Tofu water for top off.
