Power Head GPH Study

lol. I was just wondering what the nanoss and koralia evolutions pushed out. We can probably assume though, they are are rated at, or lower than what they really are.

 

The person who wrote it was an intern at Ecotech. they donated the 350g tank and rented the vortech's... they did not "fund" it. Additionally, a few of the professors here at PSU were consulted with for the experiment.

Also, despite whatever influences may be present, it is important for a researcher to NEVER have a bias towards any one product and I am sure that this article is no exception.

 

Many Tunze users changed to EcoTech and many changed back to TUNZE. I feel that if you want flow for greater than 4' then choose Tunze. Once Tunze upens their output as wide as Ecotech, they will have more flow but the flow will be much more dispersed. GPH is not all it's cracked up to be. Don't beleive me? Put a 900gph Eheim 1262 in your tank and see the havoc it creates.

Its hard to measure how much water a pump truly moves if you only measure what comes out of the output. JMHO!

 

I realise objects were donated, not directly paid for. I was in no way saying there was any bias, and I do not believe that. Sorry if I may have offended you.

I just wonder if Ectotech new their pumps were under-rated, so they wanted to see how they ranked up against the other brands.
