Power Head questions??!!!

    ok i have a 55 gallon fowlr tank setup. i have a koralia nano 425 powerhead in the tank now, and well its just to small. i am goin to purchase the koralia 750 powerhead, now i wanted to know should i only purchase 1 or 2 of them thanks.

    any insight on this power head topic would be appreicated.

    it will depend on what you want to keep in the tank, what type of pump flow your running. My return pump is 1000 GPH @ 4' head, 2 korilla 3's @ 850 GPH 1, MP40 3/4 way up @ roughly 2000 GPH. for a total of 4700 GPH (roughly) flow on a 120 tank

    I would go with 2 and suggest going with the 1050.

    I dont know the actually out put off the top of my head, but id go with two k3s or k4s....or one of each....

    really? i need that much flow? i dont want a whirlpool in my tank

    I have a K3 and K4. They are on the sidewalls. I have them staggered a little in elevation. I as well have a 55 gal.

    Oh, don't worry about too much flow, what you want is adequate flow to go through your rock work. Depending on how much rock you have will determine what you need in the way of flow. Post a full tank pic of your set up to help determine what you need. I have a 55 gal. and a lot of rock, I use a Koralia 5, 4, 2 and Nano plus I have duel return nozzles from a Mag 7.
