    Hey everyone, I just cleaned my rio ph and the suction cups seem to rub off on my fingers black...is this bad lol...and how bad? i cant get new ones today, should i put it back in or just wait untill tomarrow?

    I doubt its bad. Its probably just the paint and its been in the tank this whole time anyways without any adverse effects. If its coming loose on ur finger I'm sure some has rubbed off in the tank too. Doesn't sound troubling to me.

    Ugh, this PH is always annoying, its very loud and i dont know why...i have cleaned it 100 times very good...the other one is not loud at all...but this one sounds like somthing is hitting so its vibrating like crazy...very annoying...its the rio HF 8 anyone have suggestions?

    Man, well i have cleaned it out again and its still very loud...so i unpluged it...everyone think it would be ok to only have one power head for the night? untill i can go and either get a new one or...figure somthing out?

    Reducing your tank to one power head should be fine. It will simulate a tide change. Just make sure that the other PH is hitting the top of the water for gas exchange.

    yup. Man im really not looking forward to buying another one...they are not cheap :(

    Ahh, had that on my rio 90's, you can take them off and rinse them, they will be good as new. If they are not sucking to the tank anymore, clean the glass area where they stick and baddabing-baddaboom. :)

    btw, didn't do squat to my reef, so I say it's safe.

    why the subject was broght up does anyone have luck with the suction cups my power heads work but im constantly have to replace them they dry out dont stick then gotta replace them again jsut one problem always had with them
