Do I need a power head for water movement in a 75 G FOWLR tank? I haven't started my cycle yet and I have a conister filter with a spray attachment.

    Thanks

    Lionking,

It's probably not essential as you will have a bit of water movement via the cannister, but IMHO a powerhead or two would not do any harm. As Bruce wrote it would also enhance gas exchange

Not only will it help with gas exchange, but it will also help "spread" your corraline algae when it begins to grow!

I would probably added something like two MaxiJet 900's or 1200's for circulation in a tank that size for just fish if it were me
