looking for some good powerheads to use with a wave maker.

anyone know if the korila (sp) 120v ones that are called 1 2 3 4 and i think a 5 can be placed on a timer and what would be the max cycle rate they would handle.

i know there are some made specifically for use with certain controlers but they tend to be much more expensive.

I would not put mine on a timer personally because when they start to get dirty they don't start up. That might be my lack of care, but I wouldn't want to risk burning up the motor in them. That's just me though.

I also have a Koralia I have to hand start. Probably needs to be cleaned.

When they were new they made a ton of noise when they started up. I wouldn't use them on a timer for that reason.
