I have a 55 gallon aquarium and was wondering what a good quality but inepensive powerhead would be. I think I just need a couple to help circulate the water.
    any recommendations are welcomed.

Good quality but inexpensive, that's usually a very difficult question in this hobby. Probably your best bet will be koralia's, better would be some Maxi jet 1200's set-up on a wavemaker with sure-flow mods.

For a 55 gallon you will want either 2 koralia 2's or 2 koralia 3's depending on how much flow you want. For a softie tank I would go with two of the 2's, SPS two 3's.

    I've got a 55 gallon. I buy my Koralia's from these folks

    eBay My World - yodaslo

Their support is excellent, prices are real low. If you don't see a power head combo you want just email them. They'll put together any combo of Koralia you want and you'll get a further discount.

In my 55 I have 2 Koralia 2's, 2 Koralia 1's, and 1 Koralia Nano. I prefer several small over fewer large...

Hi, the one on that site is a nano, no good for your size tank unless used for a specific purpose like a dead area. Two Koralia 3s at opposite ends facing from back to front and angled toward the middle of the tank should do nicely if you don't house a lot of hard Coral.
