    Update at bottom of thread.
I spent my Sunday building a new cabinet to house all my power cords and adapters for my ever hoarding aquarium. The main goal of this build was to house my 2x DJ power outlets, GHL doser, and timers in a way that makes them most accessible. I also didnt want to have any cable connections inside my tank stand that could be exposed to water, salt creep, ect.. so all cable connections take place in my remote stand.

The craftsmanship is pretty bad as all I had were 2 buckets that I used to brace the wood to be cut- so a steady cutting surface it was not. I'm planing on getting some wood finishes from HD so I can mask my lack of carpentry skills but thats for next weekend (or the next :p).

I must say my new cabinet makes accessing any cable or switch an ease and for that I am thankful. Here are some pics. Please take note that my floor is NOT slanted that is my cabinet!! HAHAHA::)

Looks like some roadie equipment. :) Kudos from me for getting it done. As you said, you can still polish it up.

I am thinking of something similar to hide my fuge, evap bucket, ballasts and wires.

obviously your electrical skills have outweighed your carpentry skills...so it all evens out....nice job

Thanks guys. Its been installed for a few days now and being able to just open the small power-strip door to turn off/on any given pump or whatever really is a nice add for me.

very cool idea, as far as the carpentry skills go - we all had to start somewhere, it may not look the best but it certainly seem to be functional :jester:

So after a month or two of looking at my monstrosity of a cabinet sitting in the living room I (aka the mrs.) decided to give it another go.
Heres the finish product. Its much better looking but not as functional as it's predecessor :( but it made the GF happy which is paramount.
