Well first off THANK YOU 3reef... I am bombarding you guys with a million questions and am very grateful I found this forum!

Once again.. I have a 29 gallon tank FOWLR (almost done with cycing)...

Question is.. I am working on a veryyy tight budget! Do I need a powerhead and if so what is a cheap (but reputable) one you may recommend??

I would also put in a powerhead. Check around and see if anyone has some Koralias. They just phased out the old line so some places might still have sales on them. I've never heard anything bad about the Koralias and I have two K-1's running on my 29 gal reef.

If I were to get 1 Koralia nano would that suffice or is the consensus being atleast 2 or maybe 1 koralia 1?

All depends upon what you want to keep. Softies then LPS then SPS, is the order for flow that corals like. Softies being the least flow, SPS the most.(correct me if I am wrong)

If you just want to stay FOWLR then flow is not as big a deal.you will want at least one PH so to keep a good amount of O2 in the water though. That's mainly the reason to have PH's in a FOWLR tank.

You have a FOWLR. You won't need much flow then. You could also add more if you want, later on...

Thanks Seano... Since I plan on doing FOWLR and budgetary reasons I will probably get a Koralia nano for now and another one in the future if need be.

Get the bigger one, the 425, as I think the 250 is going to be a bit too little to keep from having stagnant areas.

Blackraven: I took the plunge and bought one online for $28 including shipping and yes before I read your post, I ended up seeing the 425gph and opted to go for it... Big reason for this was SAME size but MORE power so i feel as though I made the right call :)
