POwerhead and sand ?

    if i just put my sand in my tank, water is verrrry cloudy should i turn my power head on or leave it off its a 55 galllon tank with Koralia 4 (1200gph)

    turn it on and keep it angled up towards the surface.

    only 1 k4, should be good for now, several others here running a 55 with a single k4.

    if your doing reef i would get another powerhead. maybe not a k4 but something else to make some iregular flow patterns. i have a 55 and i have 2 k2's and a k3 and my corals love it.

    True, he will likely need to supplement with another later, but my understanding was that today is tank build day 1 with just water and sand added so far.

    agree you should get one more powerhead maybe a k2. one powerhead just makes straight line flow. get another and have currents collide to make random flow patterns
