Hi, I have a 220 litre tank and run a 6000lph powerhead, I have 2 chriomis which seem to be fine.. looks like it doesnt take all that much effort for them to swim about in the current but i got a clownfish yesterday and it looks as though hes always fighting against it, in the pet store his tail moved slowly while swimming but in my tank he swims in circles gets blown away from the wave maker to the other side of the tank swims hard to get to the other side again and then back round again, should i downgrade my powerhead to maybe 3000 lph?

My clowns will swim for hours right in front of a powerhead until i walk up to the tank, then they look to see if i'm gonna feed their geedy butts.;D

In stead of getting new one, try to reposition it, or move it around to direct the flow in another direction, such as having it face a side of the tank to dissipate the direct flow. If that doesn't work, you may want to consider getting two smaller powerheads to replace the larger one.
