I'm finshing the final touches before mixing/adding water and I am unsure of the best placement of powerheads I have a 75g DT that measures 51x20x17 deep. I have 2 inlets in the back of the DT on both top corners. My question is: Where is the best place my 2 Maxi-Jet 600 powerheads? I will use the inlets to direct flow to the back of the tank and across the back of the rocks.

Either stagger them on the back wall pointing forward and up or one on each side of the tank, pointing up toward each other.

    Hi Joey

placement - many people would experiment, but often side glass, back corner pointed to just beyond middle of front glass

or side glass- directed more or less at each other

the MAX jet 600 are 160 gallons per hour, giving you 320 gph in the 75
which is only 4.2 x volume of water flow rate per hour ( you need to add the return pump flow rate to give you the full total)

but depending on what you want to keep in that tank, you may need to consider larger power heads than the Max Jet

Steve, the newest maxijets, which can double as powerheads, are pretty sufficient IMO,the maxijet 900 pump in powerhead mode puts out 750gph max. Just letting you know ;)

    Thank you Som3 Reef3r

20 x tank volume with both on full sounds much better to me now

    So something like this?

The return inlets will be aimed behind the rocks.
