    does anyone know if the sunsun jvp-202 powerheads timer safe?

    Not so sure. Here's what I do know. . .if a device isn't listed, advertised, touted, or is specifically marketed to be "compatible with timers/wavemakers" etc. chances are it's not. You might fare just fine attaching this device to a timer, but in general, powerheads are not designed to be turned on and off. This is because for whatever reason, they just don't come back on sometimes when energized. It's not that there's anything wrong with them--but magnetic pumps sometimes need a bump from a human hand to get them started. The ones that don't are marketed as such.

    Look up the Koralia Evo series, and you'll read how they are "timer/wavemaker compatible."
