How often do you clean your powerheads? Mine are starting to get coraline on/in them.

    TIA

I leave all my coraline, but everyone likes a different look. It won't hurt anything to leave it be, unless your equipment isn't working!

It's a good idea to clean them at least every 6 mos. That is a good general rule. I like to clean them about once every month though.

If the coraline is affecting it in any way, you may want to wipe it off, but if the power head is still going strong it wont hurt to leave it unless you think it looks bad.
Besides the coraline, you may want to clean the power heads every other month or so. Just for good maintenance.

Thanks for the prompt replies - I was mainly worried about it affecting the PH's performance.
