Currently running an Aqua 30, as well as a wavemaker for my 75g. The LFS told me to get 2 Koralia 3s. But since I have the wavemaker, does it still not own up? The flow "looks" good and the livestock has been living in it for like a year with the old owners...

two koralia 3's wouldnt hurt at all....i have 2 for my 90 gallon and love them but since your running a wavemaker Koralia makes ones 2 run specially w/ a wavemaker since the normal onces are not made for starting and stopping constantly

I agree with this. For your 75g, you can easily have four K-3s in there along with your return. That's about 50x turnover. In my 90g, I have 3x K-3 and one K-4 along with a 500GPH return. If, however, you are looking at getting a wavemaker, the cost of the special Koralias goes up.

    PM sent also.....

I think you are talking about your wave maker is like a tunze wavebox or something?
In this case, there should be plenty of water movement. You would really just have to see how food and stuff floats around in your tank. Does uneaten food and detritus just settle to the bottom in dead spots? Do you have red cyano growing in areas where the tank doesn't seem to be getting enough flow? If yes, then it would be a good idea to shoot a koralia 3 at the dead spot to keep things stirred up in the water column, so the skimmer can take care of it.

    Thanks

And yes, there are a couple of those spots, seems like the sand gets sifted around and lands ontop of some algae, so I have some lines along the sand bed. There's not too many of those spots.

But what I was trying to ask was if a koralia was just something that moved water around or was an actual "powerhead?" And if it just moves water around, then when I upgrade my powerhead can I just a larger model?

Sorry if I am not making much sense...newbie!
