is it going to be a reef set up or fish only with live rock

if its a reef , you could have as much as 50 X your tank volume split between several power heads

thus you have 125 gallons x 50 = 6250 gallons of water movement so deduct the gallons moved by the OR 3500 and then divide whats left by possibly 4 power heads

If it where my tank I would have 2 x K4S for upper water levels - back corners facing towards centre and maybe a couple or 3 K2s lower down, to create movement towards front and back of reef

Id use at least 4 power heads in a 6ft tank - Im using 4 in a 5ft at present

I am in favour of using 2 smaller ones as opposed to 1 larger one as it makes it easier to ensure you can distribute the flow throughout the tank and avoid any dead spots and at same time not have to much water flow in 1 direction

It would cost more, but you could also take a look at the Ecotech MP40w. You would need 2 in a 6' tank.
