Powerheds on reverse :(

Hey, guys, I unplug my Koralia evo 750 powerheads. And I feed my acans twice a week. When I tirn them off and power em back on they all blowing water in reverse, it takes for me 10-15 times to unplug/plug in order for em to work right, any special tricks to make em work right? This is so annoying.:-X

 

Contact Hydor Customer Service, they have a free fix for that and will get it right to you.

 

try unpluging the powerhead and twist the fan looking part the way you want it to go clockwise i guess? i have to do this to get mine working but ive never head of a koralia going into reverse i almost bought a evo haha went with the trusty aquaclear

 

Just contact Hydor, they will make it right with no mess.

 

This is happening to mine as well. After doing a quick internet search it appears this is a common issue with the bushing. As stated if you contact Hydor they will mail you the correct bushing.

I guess it's time to send another request... I emailed them 2 weeks ago (or longer) and haven't heard back yet. I have the same issue with the same powerheads.

For anyone getting this on search, a thorough cleaning did nothing for my problem. So far, nothing seems to help.

EDIT: I received an email from them 10 minutes after I submitted the form the second time. For some reason my first submission did not go through.

 

well, at least now I have an idea what not to buy when i will be on the market for new pumps/powerheads.

There are two possible causes of the reversal in the Koralia Evolution. You may have the old style of bushing that has slipped out of place.

This problem is remedied by the installation of the new style of bushing.

The other possibility is that the front cover is damaged. Make sure the black rubber bumper located on the inside of the front cover is undamaged and in place. Also make sure that the plastic around the bumper is not cracked.
