Played with it briefly today.....I only have one..... it is quite a powerful program to run one master and slave as many as you can afford.

I got this one used..... I wanted the controllability and randomness of the brains. I also wanted the wide flow of the pump. My K4s are hard for me to place in my tank....either a jet stream, or a cone that beats up anything close at the edge of the cone. Well holy crap.... they were not joking when they said it is wide and diffuse and a crap load of flow. WOW!

The directions are a little confusing. Hell... took me 5 minutes just to figure out how to turn it on. I also wanted a more quiet tank at night. So it is in night mode now and I turn off my other K4 with the actinic. Hard to say the cost is "worth" it, but so far.... it is everything everyone says it is.

thats cool. sounds like you have a nice toy there.

I never have considered an upgrade from my koralias. Only thing Ive considered is a wavemaker. I know koralia has one.

Post more pics of it on your tank when you get a chance

Ya, the Korilias have their controllers and Tunze and Vortech. I have to point my Korillias up a bit so they are not in the tank much. Wanted more flow in the tank. The Vortech put it out. About 75% was more than enough. Hoping to get better flow to all my corals.

Yesterday I cleaned some sponge off that gets out of hand. Turned on the 40 and every little spec was picked up and thrown around. Pretty cool.

As far as the wave maker.... honestly, that freaks me out. Too much weight to be put in motion. I just keep picturing my stand crashing down. If I built my own to hold a tank, I would feel more comfortable about it.

The Vortech is not silent, but does not bother me. A slight whirring sound. My light fan drowns it out. I don't have room for a second one the way my rock is. But opposing 40's in anti-sync would be pretty cool. I'll have to get another one on my next tank.

 not a 120...... that would cause some envy ;). I was eye balling the oceanic 120 tech tank [IMG] not too long ago. that tank is a beautiful one.

I really do not want a big tank. I want a custom 48x30x24 150g. Coast to coast overflow with a Bean Animal design. All my stuff will still be good on a 150g. I will just need another MP40 with a more open rock work. I like 4 foot 120s too. I will build my own stand so I can make a wave.;)
