Sorry to hear about the mold problem dude. I am having issues with moisture here as well. It has been getting cold at night and the condensation on the windows is building up so much I have big puddles on window sills and I have noticed mold growing around the windows. Not cool. I live in an apartment so I'm not sure how to vent air.

Have you considered a dehumidifier? I have been looking around on craigslist and may pick one up to see if that helps my issue.

I think you can do so if you have a PC running Aquanotes with the AC Jr.

Smallest dehumidifier seems to be 25 pints/day. Don't know how noise it would be, but it would be the least invasive.

The compressor is going to make noise but it beats having mold in the house.

I've been having the condensation/mold issue too. Went and bought a new dehumidifier last Friday, and I can't believe the difference its made. Mine's a 50 pint, and unfortunately runs all the time.

It has a digital relative humidity gauge on the front though, when it was first plugged in, we were at 74, now it keeps it between 45-55.

I read online that above 50 is when you'll start to have mold issues.

Here's a question though, can I use the water from the dehumidifier for anything? Could it go back into my tanks?

I wouldn't. Never know what's in there. Water plants or toss it out.

I don't have any plants, so I guess it goes down the drain. Just seems like such a waste, but I don't know what else I'd do with it.

So I take it you do the whole hose. How big of a room is it. I just want my closet, so I was hoping the smaller one would not run all the time, but I have no idea. Where do you live, humid or dry there?
