very nice tank. im subscribed now..

having your rock up against the side glass, does that cut down on flow through the tank? I just moved all my rock around to NOT be touching the glass and left a 3" gap everywhere. if i can stack it up and use the glass to lean it on i can make much neater towers..... i assumed it was a bad idea

It isn't the end of the world. First off, all that rock is off the sand. Only a few places hold it up. I have a big flat base rock off the sand. On the other side of the tank one return has a pray bar thingy, and on the rock side I have two line loc nozzles wye'd off. So the majority of my return goes out those down the back of my rock work. The powerhead also points to the back glass. My MP40 goes across the tank and hits that side with the rock stacked up to it. Long story short... I have very good flow around all my rock. So it is good to be concerned about, but it is workable.

Well just an update. I got a dehumidifier. I really didn't want a noisy big one. The smallest refrigerant ones are 25 pint/day. There are other mini ones that use hot and cold plates. No chiller. Will it was only like 22 oz/day, but was made for closets, bathrooms. I took a chance. Well..... so far so good. It only produces maybe 8 oz /day, but it seems to be enough. The air still seems humid, but there is no more condensation on my foundation wall or all my stuff. So far no more mold. I think it will work. $80 I thought if it was not enough capacity, I would buy two, but one seems enough. Best of all, the only noise is a really quiet fan.

Well the new dehumidifier has been perfect for my closet. Great buy. Started using Marine Snow and Ultimate Aminos by Warner Marine. To soon to tell benefits. Things are growing well.

Here is my new addition. You can see how small it is. I have it in the fuge right now till it gets a little bigger. Don't know if it would be someone's lunch, but I don't want to find out. Been dropping Asterinas on it. It's eating in these photos. Eating well.

I was checking the links in your signature and read in the sump build that you added ozone to you system. I haven't heard alot of talk about this but I am definately interested in anything that will help me to provide a better life for creatures I am resposible for. With that being said can you answer a couple of questions? What can you say about the osmolator? Did the addition of ozone to you system increase the life or general well being of the livestock? Is it worth the money? If you've answered the questions before I apologize.

Must hav been another one cause I don't have ozone.

I really like the Osmolator. Very nice setup. Dependable. Keeps my water level within 1/8". Actually, I bought it used. Developed a problem after about 6 months or so. Sent it to Texas and it was fixed for free. The only time I have ever given it a thought. I would buy another.

Beautiful looking shrimp and Asterinas are definitely a problem with me. Looking forward to him growing. I don't have anything that should bother him, but right now I have a couple of Hermits that are just as big.
