Thanks. I think I will do a little write up/review on it since there isn't much info here on it.

I had my BK sold to a local before I placed the order. I try to learn how to post a video.

So I got my new skimmer. I will probably do a write up after everything settles out.

I also replaced my Mag 9.5 with a Eheim 1262. My thinking was that I had to replace my Mag 7 for my chiller. I thought I might loose some heat with the 1262. Well, there was no heat difference, and it is noisier than my Mag 9.5. I was expecting it to be better. Lotts of hum. It's annoying.

Tomorrow I have to put a clip on fan on my sump just to see how much that does and if I can keep it in my closet. I'm still trying to get rid of the need for my chiller. If it does not work I will try it on my tank. If that works I'll order a Azoo. If not, then I will just tee off my return for my chiller instead of running another pump.

Hummm... still disapointed about the Eheim. Everyone raves about them.

It is surprising. I have no experience with them, but I guess you have to experience things first hand. "No heat, no noise" is what I'm used to reading when seeing about Eheims.

Would you consider an inline? They add no heat to the water, but themselves get quite hot. The "water pump" portion of the inlines are isolated from their motors.

I considered that. But I'm borderline where I'm at. The things I have done have lost so much heat I now need a heater to maintain temp when the halides are off. So it would solve the problem for sure about not using my chiller, but then during the Winter, all the "waste heat" would go to waste in the air. The heat pumps generate are not bad if you need it in the first place.

I also know the pump being hard piped to flx PVC does not allow for vibration dampening.Yet so was my 9.5 and it was not as bad. We are not talking horrible like something would be wrong. Just was expecting different.

I'm having a little issue. It is not drawing the air it was at first. (I was getting 900 lph, now it is under 720. My 160 was at 600 lph so at least it is better than that). Which is very odd.... really not much to a pump. Taken it apart several times and can't figure it out. I have been on the phone with WM though and they have a new impeller coming my way. I have no doubt it will get taken care of. Both of us are sort of scratching our heads.

I over flowed the skimmer once. So I cleaned the cup but it was watery. It has been a week so it's broke in. I will let it go and see how it does. The gate valve is very nice, and it seem to pull as much as my 160 right now. The chamber is quite mellow and it is kind of cool watching bubbles move up uniformly. Sort of wish my fish pooped more to give it something to do :D

Great looking tank. I thought you said in the beginning that you never the money laying around to start up a salt water tank? How far you've come.

Man.... I took that setup and basically replaced most of it with new. I said I was only buying that setup because it did not need anything... until I join a forum and learn some stuff.;D I was just thinking how much I put into my tank and feeling a little guilty, then I realized I have not spent more than I did on my Mt. bike.

At this point I'm done. I just want my tank to grow out now, and when it does, I want a 120g. My equipment will handle it and I like the 24" wide tanks. BUT... I need this one to grow out a bit for now.

Plus.... the wife can't take anymore projects from me for a while.
