glad to hear everything is okay! i live up in pa so we are getting some nasty storms as well. i was gone one night for one of them and we lost power for 8 hours. i had my brother taking care of the tank and he didn't even tell me i had lost power! talk about nerve racking. a small generator is a huge relief to own. I have a 1000w generator just for the fish tanks and some lights.

    UGGGH;(

WE had 3 generators running 6 homes fridges and freezers and lost zero food, while I had MANY friends lose whole deep freezes worth of food, hundreds if not thousands of dollars each.

    Wise man!

This is a lesson all should learn from. Add up your cost of fish corals etc, and then know that they could all be dead without a backup plan. At least buy a battery operated fish aerator $10
Amazon.com: LIVE BAIT AERATOR PORTABLE D BATTERY POWER LARGE VOLUME: Sports & Outdoors

    or a dc/ac invertor $25
Amazon.com: BESTEK 300w charger dc ac power inverter car dc 12v to 110v car adapter usb charger car samsung adapter pda car charger htc adapter car lg charger mp3 car adapter iphone charger car motolora adapter ipad car charger blackberry car adapter

that small price could save your whole tank;)
