    check out the message i pm'd you about the ac mod...if the fuge area isn't big enough, you could look into the cpr refugium line....

    thank you! and karma to you! although the pm you sent me makes me lean toward the ac 70 or 100. the 100 would be nice but do you think it would be overkill?

    depends upon the the concentration of flow and flow direction within the tank. if you have it on the back of the tank and the flow is too much, the flow could make a nice little hole in your substrate if it's not being blocked by LR, etc. i have my AC70 aimed at the front glass but is hitting the LR in a way that corals and the substrate aren't disturbed...the AC70 is pushing about 300 GPH (100 - 300 GPH) and the AC110 has the potential of pushing 500 GPH (166 - 500 GPH). the AC70 needs a 8.5" opening and the AC110 needs a 13.5" opening.....it depends on what you are looking for.

    ya i was at work drawing out all the measurements. i saw that the 110 is way to much for practicality but forget it, im getting a great pump from a good new friend...;D
