I'm currently looking to upgrade my skimmer for my 70 G (w/20 G sump) tank and am close to going with the PRECISION MARINE RL150. I also want it to able to handle a 100-gal tank (w/ 30 G sump) which is being planned for the near future. My current skimmer is not very good (don't even know the make/model) so anything should be better than what I currently have. I currently have a medium bio-load with one or two more fish additions to come.

Does PM make quality stuff? I have read the one review posted which seemed to give a solid remarks. Since I'm not looking to break the bank right now, I was also looking at ASM which seems to have decent reviews on skimming, but is a bit lacking in quality...so I've read.

I know that everyone has their preferance on skimmers, however I just want to make sure that PM is a quality product and will work well for my tank.

    Thanks for any input!

Yes they do. I had a PM calcium reactor and it was very well built and came with an Eheim pump. I've heard good things about their skimmers as well.

IMO They make top quality. I have had a few skimmers and the 2 pms I have have been the best by far and I am even adding one to my red sea max sump build I am doing so it will be three in my hands. They have been known as one of the best. You wont be dissapointed.

I wrote that review and have a RL125. I stated it pretty well in the review. It's built very well. It's built with thick acrylic and well fitting pieces. It skims great. I plan on using a larger RL or PM skimmer when I upgrade.

I bought a used skimmer, that was broke in shipping. PM makes quality stuff and they are a great company to work with. Did me a solid getting it fixed. solid company, solid products.

Very solid build quality. Built like a tank. They did a great job fixing the skimmer that Powerman references ;) Haven't used their Redline products but I'm sure they're just as good.
