So, I have a spare fully running 55 gal. Skimmer, fluval 304, open top with coralife hood and white X 2 , Actinic X2. My question is that I want to convert this to a predator tank now (LRWF): Would a picasso and Clown trigger get along with each other, let alone with a Valentini that I want as well? Or should I just stick with the Picasso and the Valentini Puffer? I wanted to get a snowflake as well but worried about open top and escaping as well as feeding requirements? Any thoughts, experience, words of advice? Oh, and also would have a domino damsel.

    Thanks

I think the picasso would eventually outgrow the tank. I have one in my 65g and I know one day I will have to put him in a bigger tank. I have seen videos and read about keeping clowns and picassos together.

I'd say the Clown would also outgrow the tank, they get huge if well fed! The Valentini might get picked on a bit if the triggers were bigger...Have you seen sixline soapfishes? They seem pretty cool for a 55 FOWLR.

every single one of those fish except the valentini will outgrow that tank, i would get at least a 90, at least to fit all those fish

I agree with the above posters you will have some issues once that stock list starts growing.

Nobody else mentioned it, but eels & open tops = BIG NO NO. eels can be active swimmer at times & an open top will end with a carpet surfer for sure. We had a snowflake when I was little that got out of the tank 5-6 times and it was a pretty tight fit lid.

if you have enough rockwork it doesnt matter. i had a snowflake eel in my old 55 gallon with 110 lbs. of live rock with open top and he never even tried to escape

Ok after some of your statements I have decided to go to my second spare tank a 77 gal haggen. Forget about the snowflake but what about a dogface puffer, valentini and a trigger? (don't know which trigger yet, although I continue to lean towards a humuhumunukunukuapuaa).
