just wondering if there is a predatory fish that would fit in a ten gallon. i was mainly looking at anglers. most of them require 20 gallons, but they dont move much, they just produce a lot of waste. do you think it would be ok to house one in a ten. i dont want it to uncomfortable but they barely move. i have owned a sargassum angler and loved it. i even got it on frozen foods. a poorly placed rock landed on it though....:-[ so now i have the ten gallon.

if you have ANY ideas PLEASE put them on here it will be much appreciated!!

yeah the frogfish are wierd and cool. i like that idea. i guess a small eel would need at least a 20g tank huh?

I'm not aware of any predatory fish that would be suited for a 10g. The closest would probably be a frogfish/angler but I think it's still quite small for it and may be a challenge to keep the water conditions good, especially once it's full-grown.

ill be running mangroves and chaeto on this so hopefully i can keep the water parameters good. well what agressive fish might work? besides damsels. i hate them.

anyone think i could go with a frogfish?

I don't think by just keeping parameters in check will make any 10g tank livable to predatory fish. Too small!! How would you like to live in your closet? No fun in that:(

I kept a a small frogfish for ages in a 10G. I say it would be fine. As long as you keep up your water changes, i think it would be alright. Great thing about small tanks is, water changes really work!
