    I kept a Mandarin in a 20gal with 50 gal fuge. I recommend getting chaeto from an established fuge; really boosts your pod population. My biggest factor for success was setting up little piles of live rock rubble around the display where pods could reproduce. They served as little "feeding stations". Just be aware that your Mandarin will likely hang out by the piles, so I recommend against putting them out of sight.
