I know I'm late to the show. Hope the fish made the trip.

If I where you this is what I'd do.
immediately open the bag and pour the fish into a container. Acclimate by adding 1/2 cup of tank water every 5 or so minutes. In this container have a look at the fish to determine any issues.
after 20 minutes I'd move it to a Q tank. if no Q tank I'd put directly into my display (Not Ideal)
I'd then monitor the fish for no more than 2 days in the Q tank and if all is good more to display

Not to get off topic to much, but that method seems really aggressive for a fish that is stressed out.

Well the fish has just spent in excess of 12 hours in a soup of it's own waste and has exhausted most of the O2 in the bag. Also because the O2 is quite low as soon as the bag is opened and O2 comes in the PH shoots through the roof. Getting the fish into a stable environment as soon as possible IMO is the best solution

Tonight it is hiding in the back behind the LR and all is dark. The morning light hopefully will show a new member of the community :) Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

I'm sure he will be fine. When I introduced mine, he stayed in and out of my live rock for a few days before really starting to come out.
