price question

My LFS has a used fish tank. It is 300 dollars. 55 gallons with filtration and stand.

All I would need to get is lighting. What do you think of that price?

 

I think it has a fuge in the stand. Not sure what a fuge is but looks like one compared to pics online

 

prolly has a sump maybe a fuge that you'll have to set up, does it come w/ return pump? if so what kind, gph?, and used, inspect it good for scratches and what not, $300 not great deal but it's doable if filtration is up to par. glass or acrylic? stand in good condition?

 

just saw 55gal w/ stand, no filtration for $139 on craigs list, looks good too.

 

Seems a little pricey, 55's are a dime a dozen. It depends on the fuge, we need more specs like return pump (if no return I would turn it down) and size of the fuge, way it is set up etc. I would also inspect the 55 closely, if there are a lot of scratches you would be better off to wait.

My 55g all glass was free came with stand fresh water hood hang on back 30/60 bio filter
20w heater gravel and fresh water fish, I guess we all don't have the same luck, but I've already put over $1000 and still adding. if they sell it to you with fuge or sump and the stand is made out of wood I think it is a good deal, all depend on what condition it is

to expensive , ya can look evert where and find 55's cheaper with every thing .... keep looking.
