I bought my Milwaukee A-957 regulator and a Milwaukee SMS-122 pH controller from one of the Planted Tank websites and got a good deal on them. Since then I sold the pH controller and use my Reefkeeper Lite to control it.

A 10 lb CO2 bottle can be found at places like homebrewing shops or from a welding supply or many fire extinguisher service companies. I chose the homebrew shop since I also brew beer and their CO2 is the cheapest I found, plus its nice to support a local small business.

You use the ph probe on the elk to control the co2 correct? Just wanna make sure as I am also looking into getting one. How long have you been running this? Any trouble with the probe?

Ps also I remember you have done a right up about ro di maintenance got a link so I don't have to try and search around from my phone? Thanks

    Agree with AZ 100%

Geo is the best you can get. Hands down.

Your controller will be more than adequate to control it. They are extremely reliable with proper maintenence.

The controller monitors the pH of the reactor effluent so you don't get it too low and turn the mdia to mush or adversely affect your tanks pH. The probes are pretty robust as long as you keep them clean and don't allow them to dry out. The RK probe has been in use almost two years now and the Milwaukee probe was about 6 years old and going strong when I sold it.

I have done literally hundreds of write ups on RO/DI so its best to do a search for particular aspects and my user name. I do have a water quality forum on a couple of the reef sites and you can find me there.

Alright I'll have to look around when I get a chance to surf the forums on my desktop because searching on my phone is a pain. You should do a thorough one on 3reef and sticky it. Then anytime someone asks a question you can just post a link so you don't have to repeat everything a hundred times lol.
